Product Description
6U 30kW Intelligent DC Platform for High Power Capacity Demand Telecom Facilities
Product Overview
When telecom central offices and data centers face escalating power demands, the challenge is not just supplying wattage—it is doing so reliably within a strictly limited rack footprint. The ET481050-M7E106 is a 6U, 19-inch rack-mounted DC power system purpose-built for this exact scenario. Delivering a robust 30kW of nominal -53.5VDC output, this platform is engineered for high-density telecom transmission, edge computing nodes, and mission-critical industrial infrastructure that cannot afford downtime.
Architectural Density and Modular Resilience
The core advantage of this system is its ability to pack massive capacity into just 6U of vertical space. This is achieved through a highly efficient modular architecture utilizing up to ten 3,000W rectifier modules operating in an N+1 redundant configuration.
This design ensures that a single module failure will not compromise the site's power supply, and the hot-swappable nature of the modules means replacements can be handled quickly without taking the system offline. Operating with an efficiency exceeding 96%, the system minimizes energy waste and significantly reduces the heat load that facility cooling systems must manage.
Intelligent Control and Advanced Battery Integration
At the helm is the MC2900 controller, a Linux-based power management hub driven by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor. This advanced controller does more than just monitor voltage; it serves as the intelligent core of the site's energy ecosystem.
It continuously tracks analog inputs (such as ambient temperatures) and digital inputs, communicating vital data via RS232/485 and SNMP to the network operations center. The controller is specifically designed to manage complex battery environments, supporting both VRLA and lithium-ion chemistries with smart charging profiles and comprehensive battery health monitoring.
Flexible DC Distribution and Environmental Ruggedness
The system's power distribution is engineered for practical site deployment. It utilizes a robust terminal block for three-phase AC input and provides flexible DC load breakers. Non-critical loads are managed via LLVD breakers (with reserved slots for future expansion), while critical return paths are managed via RTN+GND busbars, ensuring clean, isolated power delivery.
Despite its high capacity, the system is built to withstand the realities of deployment. It operates effectively from -40°C to +65°C and functions reliably at high altitudes (up to 3,000 meters).
